Yankee Candle | Wax Melts | Halloween

Hey Loves!

It's finally that time of the year when the leaves start falling and the temperature gets cooler.. FALL!
This is my favorite of all four seasons.. I must admit I do love Summer, but Autumn has so many good things too. For starters its layering clothes, boots, woolen scarves and all that.. You know what I mean :)

ANYWAY! I have been on the hunt for some new wax melts to add to my every growing collection, and I have finally managed to get my hands on the Halloween wax melts by Yankee Candle ( My favorite )  Unfortunately in Malta we do not get the full range and it was so hard to get the three I'm about to mention locally. Eventually I did although they were a little bit more expensive than If i'd of bought them through the internet, but I had no patience - obviously.

So here they are, I got three in all,  Forbidden Apple, Candy Corn & Witches Brew! These cost me 2.10 each.

I'm excited to get these burning and fill my house with lovely scents! I highly recommend getting these if you're totally into the fall/Halloween vibes and are a candle lover like myself.

In the meantime i'm off to the shops to re-stock more of these babies before they are gone!

If you'd like to see the full range check them out here : Yankee Candle

Which Halloween/Autumn wax melts you love the most? I seriously can't choose. they all smell so lovely!
Are there any favorite scents you recommend I try out? I'd love to know in the comments below!

Beauty Tips | Natural Look | Make Up

Hi Loves!

So sorry its been ages since I posted, I've been so busy with life lately. Well here I am back with a pretty interesting post. I myself am not a big fan of wearing a lot of make-up. It's just me - as much as I love it, I prefer the more natural look.

Here are a few tips I put together on how to perfect that flawless natural look with minimal make-up.

So many of you ask, should I wear lipstick? Should I apply mascara? Which eye-shadow would give me a natural look without over doing it?

The Perfect Skin Tone

To get the even skin tone, your go to products are concealer, foundation and powder. Remember never to apply foundation which is a shade darker than your own skin tone as this just spoils the whole look and won't look right. When choosing a good concealer also make sure that it is a shade lighter than your foundation.

Eyebrows
When it comes to those brows, what you need to do is give them more definition by doing what we ladies love most, filling them in with eye shadow or your go to brow pencil. We always gotta have our brows on point right?! I think that our eyebrows do really give that finishing touch to our look, especially when going for that natural finish. A little tip is to always use a brow pencil/shadow which is a shade that reflects your hair color. Brunettes should go for more rich and dark hues while blondes would go for light  browns as opposed to darker tones.

Eyes

I don't usually do to much to my eyes except a little mascara but sometimes I like to use a little brown eyeliner or a bit of brown eye shadow just at the base of the bottom lashes and blend. I use brown instead of black again for that more natural feel without giving my eyes too much of a dramatic look. You can then opt to use a brown mascara for your lashes, or if you prefer a black.

Lips
We must never forget our darling lips girls! Even if we are going for a natural look, our lips should always have something on. I tend to go for a glossy or matte nourishing lip balm. Right now i'm loving Yves Rocher's lip balm in Vanilla Epicee. It was part of a Christmas edition I got given and It does wonders. If you're not a fan of lip balms, you can always go for a sheer lip gloss with maybe a little shimmer to it.

Homewear | Bedroom | Mirrored Furniture

Hi Loves!

Am I the only one currently obsessing over anything mirrored?! I am absolutely L O V I N G them. Well some of you might say 'Oh no, that would be a fingerprint magnet' or 'Aint nobody got time to be cleaning that every time someone touches it'.. Well y'all.. Who cares if It might take that extra 5 minutes to spritz and wipe.. I'm all in for it if it makes my room look pretty!

Anyyyyyway.. So I've been on the hunt getting inspiration for our next bedroom and been seeing these all over the internet. They surely add that touch of glam and style. I had a quick search and browse looking for prices and was left with my mouth wiiiideee open when I stumbled across prices ranging from €630/$700 and up.. If I needed two of these for our bedroom that would be a hefty €1,260/$1,400 which I'm sure no one in their right mind would spend money on.

I didn't give up and YES I have found many for a fraction of that price and created a little collage with my personal favorites to share with you all.

Anyone else loving this glamorous mirrored furniture? If you'd like me to do another post on other types of furniture in this flawless mirrored style, there is more where this came from!

Enchanted Forest | Adult Colouring Book | Johanna Basford | Review

Hi Loves!

So this post today is going to be about something new I recently discovered on my last trip to the UK last Christmas. I had seen heaps of craze about these adult coloring books and so many talking about them. Well, knowing me, I obviously decided to see what all the fuss was about.. and oh my. I'm OBSESSED! How did I not know about these sooner..?

Nowadays its all about iPads, technology and all that.. Back in my day we had NONE of these little gadgets you see everyone with today. Having a new coloring book and new coloring pencils or markers to color with was the rave back in my kiddie years, especially if it was glitter gel pens! I used to love spending my Saturday mornings at the kitchen table with all my colors laid out going through my Disney themed coloring books and seeing which prince or princesses to color first! I spent hours on end and loved it. I guess it sparked my creative side too as the little kid I was.

Well, those days are BACK! YES! WOO-HOO! Who doesn't want to feel like a kid again?

This time its slightly different though as Adult coloring books tend to help de-stress and take you into a world of peace and imagination and creativity.

The 'Enchanted Forest: An Inky Quest & Coloring Book' by Johanna Basford caught my eye right away. Such a high quality beautiful book full of breathtaking illustrations and art. It's a total upgrade of our usual coloring books, I call it a masterpiece of creativity. With all you can imagine would be in an Enchanted forest. From castles, forest animals, flowers, forests. A coloring fairy-tale as I like to call it.

I recently started coloring it all in and spent over 4 hours one day on one page. It really is relaxing and a nice hobby to start if you love coloring. I highly recommend Johanna's books. She has quite a few out already and her newest releases which I am eager to get a hold of which are Magical Jungle and Johanna's Christmas!

You can buy Johanna's Book here - Johanna Basford - Enchanted Forest

Happy Coloring!

Would you like to see another post once i've completed the book?

Gerard Cosmetics | Colour Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss | Pink Frosting | Review

Hi Loves!

I Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I'm really dreading the heat here in Malta right now. Its just TOO hot.. Please whisk me off to somewhere cold. Maybe Australia?

Today I'll be reviewing the Gerard Cosmetics Colour Your Smile Lighted Lip gloss in Pink Frosting. When it comes to Lip gloss, I am really really picky. It's always hard for me to find the right shade and right consistency. I've tried so many and just been disappointed. Oh and cute packaging! I'm a sucker for that.

I was recommended to try Gerard Cosmetics out so I was like hey ho let's give it a go! I watched so many reviews by Beauty Vloggers on YouTube which convinced me more to try out the brand.

What makes them unique and standout is the fact that they have a little mirror on the side and the base of the applicator lights up!

When it came to picking a shade, I could have got the whole range but slow down tiger.. I was looking for something natural, not to full on color with a little bit of shimmer.

As I was going through the shades 'Pink Frosting' caught my eye. THERE YOU ARE! MINE ALL MINE! It was the exact shade I was looking for. Not too pink, a little bit of shimmer and very natural looking. It glides on so well and you don't need that much on. The formula is great! I would say creamy. The colour is opaque and they aren't to sticky at all. With regards to wear, I was fairly happy with how long it lasted - I would say 3 hours.  I then just touched up in between eating and drinking

Would I buy this again and would I purchase more shades? BIG YES!

This is not a sponsored post -  I purchased this Lip Gloss with my own money and I wanted to share my honest thoughts with you.

Thank you for reading! Do you have any favorite Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Gloss Shades or any other Gerard Cosmetic products you'd like me to review?

Aussie Hair Care | Frizz Miracle Range Review

Hi Loves!

As you all know from my previous blog post, Aussie Hair is now available in Malta thanks to VJ Salomone! Hooray! They currently have 5 ranges available which are;

Miracle Moist, Frizz Miracle, Take The Heat, Aussome Volume &
Mega.

I first discovered Aussie Hair back when I use to travel to the UK to visit family. I had seen the range in boots, picked a bottle up of Frizz Miracle and smelt it and was like 'oooooohh! Have to get this!'
As soon as I shampoo'd and conditioned my hair I already felt the difference. My hair felt soft and silky and smelt divine. I had to go back and grab more of this amazeballs product. So every time I visited the UK or family visited I was always quick to make sure they brought some down with them for me, and I have been rationing my last bottle until this week! Well my problem is totally solved since I can buy it here with no problem and my hair is super dooper happy!

Frizz Miracle is by far my favorite from the range, especially due to the humid and hot weather we have in Malta, this stuff really makes my hair happy and reduces my frizzy hair days. The smell is oh so yummy, refreshing and bubblegummy. The packaging is super cute too with little kangaroos around the neck of the bottle and a dark purple lid!

The Frizz Miracle Range consists of a Frizz Miracle Shampoo, Frizz Miracle Conditioner and 3 Minute Miracle Frizz Remedy Deep Treatment and the Dual Personality Anti-Frizz + Conditioning Milk.

Since my hair is colored and I have recently added highlights, the ends of my hair tend to be very dry. My hair is naturally wavy and a little frizzy.

Depending on if i'm going out or just back from the beach, I would either go with a Shampoo & Conditioner ( I like to leave the conditioner in for about 3 minutes until I rince it out) on my normal hair wash days or Shampoo & the 3 Minute Miracle Frizz Remedy Deep Treatment which I leave in for around 5 minutes if I am headed out to an event or dinner as it gives my hair that extra hold I need and keeps the frizz away giving me a super sleek look after i've blow-dried and styled my hair.

The shampoo has a very good consistency and you really don't need alot to get it lathered up. You might need quite abit when using the conditioner.

Last but not least, lets talk about the Dual Personality Anti Frizz + Conditioning Milk. You NEED this in your life! In the summer hot days I love to wash my hair and let it air dry. Since my hair is frizzy, after washing and towel drying I apply a pump into my palm, work it through my hair and comb it. Voila! No need to rinse! You can also style it but that's totally up to you!
My hair dries and no frizz ahoy! Since my hair is a little wavy/curly it reduces all the frizz and my hair looks & smells amazing!
TIP: If you're looking for a little volume and a few bouncy curls, after I apply the product to my wet hair I like to tie my hair into a bun and leave it like that until the next morning. After I let my hair down the next day my hair is even bouncier, frizz free and pretty little waves/curls.. Oh and yes it still smells delicious!

My hair feels healthy, silky, lighter and soft after the first wash, and really does do what it says on the bottle. The only and literally only con about this product is that the conditioner bottle is slightly smaller than the shampoo itself so I sometimes tend to run out of conditioner before my shampoo (I'm sure i'm not the only one right?), but hey I cant complain about anything else!

Another super great thing about this product is it doesn't weigh your hair down.

Hope this review helps any of you who wanted to know a little more about Aussie and how it worked for me and this is my honest opinion!

Have you tried any of the Aussie range?
